HealthNest Digital Health Literacy Event | January 19, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n
On 19 January 2026, HealthNest brought together experts, policymakers, patient representatives, and innovators for a full day dedicated to advancing digital health literacy in Belgium. The event created a dynamic space for learning, exchanging ideas, and shaping a more inclusive digital health future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day opened with a welcome from HealthNest Chair, Professor Stephan Van den Broucke, followed by insightful keynotes from Dr. Kristine S\u00f8rensen, Prof. Tom Braekeleirs, and S\u00e9bastien Bregy. Their contributions highlighted strong alignment between global developments, emerging digital health innovations, and the ambitions of the Interfederal eHealth Action Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representatives from patient organizations and public authorities engaged in a constructive discussion on Belgium\u2019s current landscape and the collective steps needed to ensure digital health is accessible to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the afternoon, participants joined practical breakout sessions focused on: Artificial Intelligence, effective communication strategies and inclusive digital design. The day concluded with a Poster Carousel, showcasing creative initiatives and concrete solutions from across Belgium\u2019s digital health ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n

HealthNest Digital Health Literacy Roundtable | February 3, 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n On the 3rd of February 2025, we organised an exclusive roundtable on digital health skills. A small group of participants from different sectors\u2014such as local authorities, care providers and private companies\u2014were brought together to develop concrete solutions for improving digital health skills in Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n During the roundtable, experts gave short keynote talks with insights on trends and practical approaches to digital health skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n Following this roundtable, a report was compiled for organisations in the health and welfare sector, with tangible tools to get started on digital health literacy skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n \n\n \n \n ![\"\"\n](\"https:\/\/healthnest.be\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/249\/2025\/10\/round-table-1-2.jpg?w=768\"\n)

\nHealthNest Conference | June 12, 2023<\/h2>\n\nThe initiative aiming to improve Health Literacy in Belgium<\/h5>\n\n\n\n This year HealthNest took a big new step in augmenting the Belgian health literacy. Therefore, we proudly invited you and everyone who is active (or wants to be active) in health literacy to attend the first HealthNest Conference ever on 12 June 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
\n\n\nCapacity-building and impactful partnerships in health literacy<\/h5>\n\n\n\n The central theme was “Capacity-Building and Impactful Partnerships”<\/strong>. You were able to learn and explore the theme during plenary sessions, breakout sessions and a non-stop forum<\/strong> where organizations active in health literacy will present their initiatives. In addition, you would also meet the leading voices and receive the latest insights in the broad field of health literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n By seeking out and promoting Belgian health literacy projects we try to help everyone to make a significant impact in our healthcare landscape and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n
